At Arizona State University we presently offer two mariachi classes: Mariachi Diablos del Sol and Mariachi ASU.

Mariachi Diablos del Sol, formed in 1984, is an ensemble meeting one evening per week and is open to university students, community members, and advanced high school students. They perform a major concert on the ASU campus each semester and have participated in the Tucson Internation Mariachi Conference since 1985.

Mariachi ASU, formed in 1997, is an honors, scholarship ensemble for full-time Arizona State University students. Students receive financial aid in the form of a scholarship to help pay for university expenses. This ensemble performs at various activities for the university community, around the Valley of the Sun, and throughout the State of Arizona.
